In a survey of office workers by Industry Analyts, colour printers, copiers and multifunction products (MFPs) from Xerox have been voted as the best compared to similar products from other leading manufacturers. This is the second consecutive year that Xerox products have been acknowledged by office workers. In fact, in the category of  "Maintenance and Total Cost of Operation, Xerox colour products bagged the top rating.

The survey was conducted in the form of extensive telephone interviews with results based on nearly 100 verified responses from people who use and manage colour document technology within their organizations.

Xerox color printers and MFPs are used by businesses of all sizes to create high-quality documents to present a professional image and boost sales.

Epson, the leading manufacturer of printers, LCD projectors and other imaging products has extended its Collect&Recycle initiative with a new postal return programme for all inkjet printer cartridges.  This makes available an easy and free solution to all home users and business customers to have their empty printer cartridges recycled for further use.

 

Until now, the focus of the company’s Collect&Recycle programme has been on laser printer cartridges only. Now, the the recycling scheme services are being expanded to include large format printer cartridges as well.

 

In the recycle process, the plastic components of the cartridge are remanufactured and reconstructed as raw material to be used further and the metal parts are melted to reuse in further industrial usage. Thus Epson is playing a major role in reducing the number of ink cartridge that ultimately pile up in landfills.

The new mono laser printer from Brother, HL-5240, has won accolades for being the best-selling model throughout the UK business market.  Delivering first print in 8.5 seconds, the machine offers several unique features like printing 28 pages per minute (ppm) with print resolution up to 1200*1200dpi. The device is available with 16MB memory which is further expandable up to 528MB.
