Nationwide Franking Sense, a family-run franking company, has obtained £1 million in funding to support its business expansion, reports The Bolton News. 

The company, which supplies franking machines and other mailing equipment, has been on a drive to increase its franking machine leasing business, with leasing becoming a key component of its growth strategy due to the relatively high cost of new franking machines.  The news report also cites Nationwide Franking as the “first non-manufacturer of franking machines in the UK to be approved by Royal Mail."

The online telematics service provider Cybit is partnering with Civica to facilitate the seamless integration of its Fleetstar application with the latter’s Tranman application.

Upon the integration, Fleetstar will feed real-time vehicle mileage, location and other information directly into the Tranman fleet management system thus helping businesses to better track and manage vehicles.  This is expected to reduce operating costs, improve business administration processes and retain the residual value of vehicles.

By integrating Tranman and Fleetstar, businesses can capture mileage and other pertinent information without having to contact drivers or depending on fuel card data. As a result, routine maintenance can also be scheduled well. Employers will be able to manage their 'Burden Of Proof' in relation to private use of company vans and support HMRC audits.Fleetstar-Online is a scalable Internet-based telematics solution featuring real-time vehicle tracking, exception reporting, replay mode, customised reports, mileage information, SMS messaging and live traffic information.

Samsung has launched the CLX – 6240FX, extending its series of mid range color MFP solutions for office workgroup environments.

The CLX – 6240FX is a full-function 4-in-1 multi-function colour laser printer with built-in print, copy, scan and fax capabilities handling up to legal size documents. It has a maximum monthly duty cycle of 80,000 pages per month and standard paper capacity of 850 sheets. Samsung’s SmarThru and SynchThru document workflow and device management applications are included with the CLX – 6240FX. The CLX – 6240FX MFP prints color documents at a rate of up to 25 PPM in letter mode.
