Unipart has introduced a vehicle tracking device, named Neo-Trac that can automatically alert police in the event of a vehicle being involved in a serious accident or theft, reports the website Autoindustry.co.uk.
The report suggests that the new vehicle tracking device complies with the Thatcham Category 5 standard of the insurance industry. The product, which comes with a three-year warranty, is priced from £615 onwards and has a £185 annual fee.
Neo-Trac, which uses satellite tracking along with computerised mapping, can not be used to not only track the location of a vehicle but also remotely disable the engine of the car by the police as necessary.
