This had to happen sooner rather than later. Office environments have changed so much over the past few years as office automation products have become more sophisticated. Firstly, from standalone single-purpose office equipment, we have moved into the era of multi-function products. So, a photocopier can not only copy, but also print, scan and fax; or a printer can not only print, but also copy, scan and fax.. and so on and so forth. Then, these products transformed into critical document management systems, as they had the ability to electronically store documents.
