Pioneer Electronics has expanded its KURO strategy to enter the home cinema market with the introduction of its new Elite KURO projector which will offer 1080p picture performance and industry-leading black levels.
The Elite KURO Projector is designed and developed specifically for the custom-install market and configured for high-end cinematic installations. The projector supports advanced calibration and features viewing standard, dynamic and movie viewing modes.
The Elite projector, which complements the companys KURO line of displays, uses LCoS 1080p technology and features a wide lens shift capacity, dual HDMI 1.3 support, and a wide range of other precise adjustments to produce the finest picture possible. The projector is expected to begin shipping in June 2008 for a likely price of about US$9000.
