It's reliability regarding letter handling and it's high degree of flexibility in addition to the fact it can handle up to 4,000 letters per hour in C6, DL, and C5 envelopes explains it's popularity. Security and monitoring functions assure that every envelope is correctly and completely filled. The intelligent modular construction allows the system to be configured with 2 to 6 stations as well as customer-specific solutions. Compact design and quiet operation (66 dB) make the FPi 5500 appropriate for every office environment.

The FPi 5520 has two document feeders with the "S" version providing one mechanical separation feeder for thicker items.
